Terms of Service

Last updated: June 5, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the MediGuide website ("Service") operated by MediGuide ("us", "we", or "our"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Not Medical Advice

MediGuide is an information service, not a medical service. The content provided by MediGuide — including symptom analyses, condition explanations, specialist recommendations, and AI-generated responses — is for general informational purposes only.

Nothing on MediGuide constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional with any questions you have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on MediGuide.

In case of a medical emergency, call 911 immediately or go to your nearest emergency room.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using MediGuide, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you should use this Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

3. Use of the Service

You agree to use MediGuide only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not:

  • Violate any applicable Canadian or international law or regulation.
  • Transmit any material that is defamatory, offensive, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract data from the Service.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

4. Accuracy of Information

While we strive to provide helpful and accurate health information, MediGuide makes no warranties or representations of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or suitability of the information provided. AI-generated content can contain errors and should not be relied upon as a sole source of health guidance.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MediGuide and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on MediGuide without our express written permission.

6. Third-Party Services

MediGuide uses third-party services including OpenAI (for AI analysis) and Google (for analytics). Your use of the Service is also subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies of these third parties. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party services.

7. Advertising

MediGuide may display advertisements from third-party advertising networks from time to time. We are not responsible for the content of any advertisement displayed on the Service. The display of an advertisement does not constitute our endorsement of the advertised product or service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MediGuide shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, health outcomes, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the Service or its content.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
